Coral Club partners with Fonte di Speranza to restore access to clean water in Sierra Leone

Hydrate the World is Coral Club’s long-term social responsibility initiative focused on access to clean and safe drinking water as a fundamental human need. In partnership with the Italian non-profit organization Fonte di Speranza, Coral Club restored a fully operational water well in the village of Kumala, Sierra Leone, providing reliable access to clean water for hundreds of residents.

The project went beyond infrastructure. Local women received training in well maintenance and hygiene practices, ensuring long-term sustainability and community ownership. As a direct result, children - especially girls - no longer need to walk long distances to fetch water, leading to improved school attendance and daily safety.

This initiative forms part of a broader, ongoing commitment. Fonte di Speranza has already supported the construction of 33 wells in Sierra Leone, benefiting over 17,000 direct and 64,000 indirect beneficiaries. Building on the success of Kumala, Coral Club is now supporting new projects, including a well for the community of Kopendikor and clean drinking water for a school for the blind in Kabala.

Hydrate the World reflects Coral Club’s belief that sustainable social impact is created through long-term partnerships, community empowerment, and measurable outcomes - not one-off actions.
